MISSION
We aim to drive health equity within communities of color by empowering clients through literacy, direct access to optimal care and transforming the healthcare narrative with services offered by trustworthy providers of color reflective of the communities where clients reside.
VISION
To transform the healthcare experience for people of color by creating a new standard of care, building a network of trustworthy optimal partners that share both our mission and values, and by becoming the number one provider of healthcare services to people of color- globally.
VALUES
Our Approach Healthcare Coordination
We care for the whole person. We tap into our own lived experiences to understand the complexity of each clients life. We believe that addressing the broad range of each clients needs is the best way to improve healthcare outcomes. We continuously examine both, the services we provide and the needs of the community. While other community programs waste resources with repetition, we make intentional decisions to apply resources differently. We look for cracks in the health care system, fill those voids and move to find and fill new ones. We believe that changing the healthcare narrative for people of color is our reason for being. We seek to be the model for care management services for people of color nationwide.
Our Relationship with the Community
We have an unmatched, relentless commitment to serving the community. Improving the community addresses Social Determinants of Health, which improves the Quality Of Life for our clients. Hands-on involvement within the community by every BUH staff member (bar none) enhances our ability to build trust. For trust is the fuel that drives our vision.
Our Slogan
"Healthcare providers of color for children of color."
